Hồi đầu tháng tôi thấy hãng Bed &Bath quảng cáo bán nốt một số hàng trước khi đóng cửa.

Tôi đặt mua một số đồ gia dụng ngày 8/8/2023; và trả tiền bằng credit card.

Tôi không để ý tới trang nhà là herselfade.com chớ không phải của Bed &Bath, và đặt mua những thứ sau:

Trong hình họ nói chỉ từ 3 đến 5 ngày là hàng tới. 

Trên cell phone tôi hôm 1/9/2023 còn một txt message như sau:

Tôi nhớ có 2 messages, cái thứ hai có đường dẫn, bây giờ không thấy nữa.

Người gửi: haroldasd4give@iclound.com nhắn tôi phải xác nhận địa chỉ tại uspsreprevise.com.

Tôi tới uspsreprevise.com; thì họ là trả lời:

Hôm 1/9/2023, tôi nhận được text messages sau từ USPS, tức của Bưu điện chính phủ.

Tôi cầm hai hình sau đi tới Bưu-điện vào sáng thứ Bảy 9/9/2023

Khi tôi đưa cho nhân viên Bưu-điện, thì họ nói 'tôi để xếp của tôi giải quyết việc này'.

Ít phút sau ông ta coi 2 text messages. Sau khi coi ông ta bảo tôi phải tới Bưu-điện trung-ương của thành-phố Dallas, nơi đó họ sẽ giải-quyết cho tôi. 

Tôi đòi địa-chỉ, ông ta cho 400 N Ervay St, Dallas, TX 75201.

Tôi đành phải đi về. Ngồi coi kỹ 2 hình IMG_2859, IMG_2861 đang có trong tay, thì thấy ngay trên cùng là:

Như thế thì package của tôi đã và đang ở Post Office của thành phố Grand Prairie.

Tôi liền đi tới bưu-điện lần nữa, lúc đó đã là buổi chiều. Khi tới nơi thì họ đóng cửa!

Cùng lúc này tôi thấy trên cell phone chỉ tới hơn 4000 Mails. Sau là màn hình của phone mà tôi đã xóa nhiều lần. Cháu lớn khi ghé nhà chỉ tôi xoá trên máy vi-tính chớ không làm trên phone. Tôi mất khá nhiều thời gian cho việc này, dù chỉ là ở server chớ không phải ở máy của tôi. Khi xoá tôi thấy có nhiều trang Đặc San Lâm Viên mà một thời có ghé qua.

Hôm nay cell phone chỉ còn 1750 mail!

Tôi đã theo lời khuyên của cháu lớn, và đã gọi cho Chase lấy tiền từ credit card về.

Người này đòi tôi phải nói rõ mua những thứ gì? 

Tôi không kể ra được, và nói sẽ gọi lại!

Tôi cố gắng để có hình order sau vào ngày 9/5/2023:

Sau buổi lễ là phần giảng kinh của một vị sư mà tôi không nhớ tên. Các đoàn sinh gia đình Phật tử Hương Đạo bưng một bàn và một ghế tới bên trái chánh điện. Cùng lúc này, nhà tôi bảo tôi đem 2 túi quà ra xe. Tôi đem theo bông hồng của mình; tôi chỉ chú tâm là sao nó có nước để không bị héo quá lâu.

Khi trở vào vừa bước qua cổng chùa, tôi thấy rất đông người sắp hàng gần nhà bếp để lãnh phần cơm chiều. Tôi liền làm theo và để ý tìm nhà tôi mà không thấy. Khi có phần cơm, tôi đành phải đem ra xe!

Tôi trở vào chánh điện tìm nhà tôi thì thấy bà ấy đang theo dõi giảng kinh. Tôi lền nói về phần cơm. Bà ấy nhắc rằng những lần trước, cả hai ngồi nghe giảng, cùng lắm khi gần hết mới bỏ đi.

Việc đã quá trễ, tôi đề cập tới phần cơm, và cùng ra sắp hàng. Kết quả chúng tôi có 3 phần!

Do bệnh lú lẫn của tôi, tôi đã không nhớ tới việc nghe giảng kinh!

Đành phài ra về.

Chùa Hương Đạo được kiến tạo gần đây, nên ngoài chánh điện cũ với nhà bếp thì không có phòng ăn, nhà sinh-hoạt như chùa Pháp-Quang. Các phật-tử sau khi đi qua một khoảng trống được che mát tôn để lãnh phần cơm chay thân mật, sẽ tìm chỗ nào tiện thì ngồi. 

Vì không tham dự dạy Việt-ngữ, nên tôi không rõ về sinh hoạt của các em đoàn-sinh. các em tổ chức các buổi văn-nghệ tại một sân khấu lộ-thiên, dưới một cây cổ thụ ở bên phải nếu đi từ ngoài vào.

Thầy Bửu Đức đã phải vay mượn của Phật-tử để xây "Đại Hùng Bửu Điện" như ngày nay. Trước đây thầy tính xây nhà sinh-hoạt, lớp học và nhà bếp. Việc này chưa đi tới đâu thì có dự án xây "Bảo-tàng Kinh các Thánh Điển". Tôi không biết thầy sẽ soay sở ra sao?

Túi quà ở chùa Hương Đạo:

Sau là hình chụp những món đồ trong túi quà:

1/- Hộp Salonpas lớn, hộp thuốc đau nhức Excedrin, Hộp thuốc “Longevity Essential Oil”

Không thể mở hòn bi ở đầu. Thoa lên lưng chẳng hạn, ít phút sau cảm thấy nóng, dễ chịu.

Tam Quan của Chùa

Chùa Pháp-Quang tổ chức lễ vào Chủ Nhật hồi 11:AM ngày 27, tháng 8, 2023. Chùa đã được thầy Thích Trí Hiền tạo lập trước khi tôi dọn tới Grand-Prairie. Tôi được biết thầy khi tới chùa lúc đó chỉ mới có chùa nhỏ là căn nhà trên đường ra cổng ngày nay. Lúc đó tôi còn trẻ, đưa các cháu tới chùa gia nhập Gia-đinh Phật-tử. Tôi cũng tham gia dạy tiếng Việt cho các cháu.

Vì những sự thiếu minh-bạch lối hơn 10 năm trước; tại chùa Pháp-Quang, bàn thâu ngân ở bên phải khi vào trong chánh-điện. Tôi vào lạy Phật và hai vị bồ-tát Địa tạng, và Quán thế Âm, sau đó mới tới bàn thâu ngân. Ngày nay mọi việc phải được minh bạch, nên người thủ quỹ viết biên lai cho tôi. Bác Hà luôn có mặt nơi này trước giờ làm lễ.

Trong buổi lễ, Phật-tử cứ tiếp-tục đến, mọi người trong chánh điện cứ phải dồn tới trước. Ngày nay thì phật-tử đi chùa Pháp-Quang rất đông. Chuyện sảy ra thường xuyên ở ngôi chùa này, như bao nãm trước!

Vì đã được tạo lập lâu, nên chùa có đầy đủ các cơ -sở phụ như:

Nhà sinh-hoạt kế bên chánh-điện là nơi các đoàn-sinh sinh-hoạt mỗi cuối tuần, bên trong có một sân-khấu, trên tường là nơi treo các bức tranh lớn trình bày ý-nghĩa các buổi trình-diễn văn-nghệ của các đoàn sinh. Nhà bếp chiếm một góc bên trái. Phần bên phải dành cho phần vệ-sinh, nhưng cũng là nơi các đoàn viên thay đổi trang-phục cho các buối trình diễn văn-nghệ.

Lạc nghĩa đường ở đằng sau chánh điện là nơi thờ hình của thân nhân của các phật-tử, cũng như nơi an nghỉ của chư tăng, (Hình ảnh song thân của tôi cũng được để ở đây, không kể bàn thờ ở nhà).

Vì nhu cầu cho các lớp Việt-ngữ, phần đất đằng sau nhà sinh-hoạt cũng có hai lớp học được xây thêm.

Quán Âm Linh viện: Nơi để tro cốt cũng như hình ảnh người thân của các Phật-tử mới được hoàn thành sau này ở bên phải của nhà sinh-hoạt.

Ngày Vu-lan là ngày lễ để tưởng nhớ mẹ hiền, nên mọi việc cùng theo chủ đề. Ba hồi chuông trống báo hiệu buối lễ bắt đầu. Chúng tôi cùng mọi người đứng dậy cung nghinh Thầy trụ trì Nguyên Tâm, Thầy Giáo thọ, Thầy từ Oklahoma xuống, và Đại đức người Mỹ tôi quên mất tên

Sau buổi lễ, chư tăng ra về:

Một phật-tử, cúng dường vào thùng phước sương:

Sau buổi lễ ở trong chánh-điện khoảng gần 1:00 PM, mọi người qua nhà sinh-hoạt để đùng cơm chay thân mật.

Bên trong nhà sinh-hoạt các ghế xếp được bày khắp nhà.  Chúng tôi lựa một chỗ gần giữa, và ở hàng ghế thứ ba. Có một số người hình như là phụ-huynh của các đoàn-sinh GĐPT, đã ở đó đang ăn phở chay có lẽ đóng góp thêm theo cách này.

Mọi người chờ đợi ít phút, nhà bếp sắp đặt xong các phần cơm chay trong hộp. 

Các em đoàn-sinh đem phân-phát cho mọi người. 

Có thêm các em khác đi phát giấy lau miệng cho ’quan-khách’. 

Khi mọi người đang ăn, thì có người đi phân phối cho mỗi người một chả giò chay. Tiếp theo là phân-phát thêm sôi, nhiều loại, đựng trong túi nylon.

Chúng tôi ăn không hết phần của mình, phải đem về nhà, dành cho điểm-tâm hôm sau.

Trong khi các ’quan-khách’ dùng cơm, các đoàn-sinh khác trình diễn văn-nghệ giúp vui trên sân khấu. Có một số gia-đình đầu tư nhiều cho con em bằng cách cho đi học thêm về các nhạc cụ. Đây là lúc họ khoe với nhau chuyện mình tốn tiền lo cho các con.

Mọi năm, thầy Nguyên Tâm chỉ nói vắn tắt mời quý vị an toạ. Năm nay ngoài phát biểu lâu hơn ở chánh-điện, thầy cũng nói nhiều hơn về lễ Vu Lan. 

Cả hai chùa Hưong-Đạo, và Pháp-Quang đều nhấn mạnh đến công ơn của người mẹ.
